Financing the legal efficacy of a file is not the Secretary of State’s concern. The filer bears the accountability for this. See our FAQ for additional details about liens.
The debtor’s entire legal name:
- Enter a name for a company or a person, but not both.
- You can import the debtor’s information if you are signed into a user account and have it preserved.
Add a debtor who has already been saved:
Financing:
Select “Import stored data from My Account.”
To include the debtor’s details in the file, click their name.
Establishment:
- Enter the name of the debtor organization here if it is one.
- Type the organization’s precise, current name here.
- The organization’s formation documents (such as the articles of organization) provide this information.
- The organization’s name might be on a correction or amendment form if it has changed since it was founded Persona.
Enter the debtor’s last, first, and middle name if they are an individual. If necessary, use the drop-down menu to add a suffix (Sr., Jr. III, etc.).
SSN and FEIN:

Enter the last four digits of the borrower’s Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) or Social Security Number (SSN).
Once you enter the number, the borrower is assigned a special number. This number is used to identify the borrower instead of the SSN or FEIN. This identifier can be used to search for entries on the master list.
Postal Address:

Provide the mailing address of the debtor, including the street, city, state, ZIP code, postal code, province, and nation, if relevant.
Additional debtor classifications:
Mark the option if any of the designations apply. If none of these apply, leave the option set as “None” (which is the default choice).
Activate this debtor in my profile:
You can choose to store debtor data for later use if you are signed into a user account. Select “Yes” to save this debtor to your account.
Once you’re done, select “Continue.”
- This page displays a list of all the debts you have added.
- Click “Add a debtor” to add a debtor.
- I Click “delete” to the right of the debtor’s details to remove them.
- Click the debtor’s name to modify that debtor.
- Once you’re done, select “Continue.”
- Protected Party
- Name of Secured Party
- Enter a name for a company or a person, but not both.
- You can import the secured party’s data if you are signed into a user account and have it saved.
- To include an already-saved secured party:
- Select “Import stored data from My Account.”
- To include the secured party’s details in the filing, click their name.
Establishment
Enter the name of the organization if it is the secured party:
Effective Financing Statement:
Enter the exact name of the organization, as it is currently listed here. Organizational documents, such as the bylaws, or an amendment or amendment form if the organization’s name has changed since its incorporation, contain this information.
Persona:
Enter the surname, first, and middle name of the secured party if they are a person. If necessary, use the drop-down menu to add a suffix (Sr., Jr., III, etc.).
Postal Address:
- Input the mailing address of the secured party, encompassing the street, city, state, postal code, ZIP code, province (if relevant), and nation.
- Activate this protected party on my behalf.
- You will be able to store secured party information for future use if you are signed into a user account.
- Check the box to store this secured party in your account.
Is the party who has secured an assignor?
Effective Financing Statement
- If the secured party listed on this page is an assignor, check the box.
- A person who transfers ownership rights or interests to another party is known as an assignor.
- You have to specify a minimum of one more secured party as the assignee (the party to whose rights are being assigned) if you choose “Yes.”
- See CRS sections 4-9-512 and 4-9-514 for additional information regarding assignments.
- Once you’re done, select “Continue.”
Party List Security:

- This page lists any secured parties that you have accessed.
- Click “Add a party” to add a secured party.
- I Click “delete” to the right of the secured party’s details to erase them.
- Click the name of a secured party to edit it.
- Once you’re done, click “Continue.”
- Product from the Farm Product
From the drop-down menu, choose the agricultural product.
County.
Check the box corresponding to each county this farm product applies to.
If the financial statement is for the entire period, leave this area blank.
If not, enter the years that this farm product’s finance statement covers.
Details of optional farm products.
- Add information about the farm produce if necessary. A maximum of 1000 characters may be entered. When you go to the “Attachments” tab, you can add an attachment if you need extra space.
- Once you’re done, click “Continue.”
List of agricultural goods.
- This page includes a list of any farm items you have uploaded.
- Click “Add additional farm products” to add a product from the farm.
- I Click the product to edit an agricultural product.
- Click “delete” to the right of the farm product to remove it.
- Once you’re done, select “Continue.”
Collateral List of Collateral.
- Click “Add a description” to add collateral for non-farm products.
- You can import collateral description data if you are signed into a user account and have it saved.
- To append a collateral description that was previously saved:
- Select “Import stored data from My Account.”
- To include that information in the filing, click the description.
- If you don’t need to contribute any collateral, hit “Continue.”
Description of the collateral.
- List the collateral that is covered by the financing statement. In the description, you have up to 1000 characters to write.
- When you reach the “Attachments” page of the filing, you can add an attachment if you need more space.
- See CRS 4-9-108 and 4-9-504 for information regarding proper collateral descriptions.
- Mark “Yes” if the collateral has anything to do with real estate.
Activate this protected party on my behalf.
- You will have the ability to store collateral information for use at a later time if you are signed into a user account.
- Select “Yes” to save this collateral to your account.
- Click “Continue” to get back to the list when you’re done.
- This page will list any ancillary descriptions you have contributed.
- The collateral description’s first 50 characters will be displayed.
- Simply select “Add a description” to enter a description.
- Click the description to make changes.
- Click “delete” to the right of a description to remove it.
- Once you’re done, select “Continue.”
